Almarte was born from the need and ingeniality of creating art. When Maria was a young girl, she was taught how to speak and write English. In her teenage years, she left her native Colombia to live with her family in the United States of America.
By her college years she was back in her native country and began studying Fine Arts. From there Maria and Almarte have not looked back, creating stunning pieces of art combining function with style and selling her work across the globe.
