Almarte was born from a deep, authentic desire to live in community and create the highest quality of life possible on Earth. For us, "Heaven on Earth" means:

🌿 Our Vision

Our vision is to co-create a new culture on planet Earth based on love, trust, and collectivism, aligned with fundamental natural laws. We aim to help people realize and feel that "heaven" exists right here and now on Earth, in the present moment, rather than in some distant time or place.

We believe humanity is in the late capitalist stage, and at some day, the current system may collapse. When that happens, people will search for new cultural systems. This is why it is crucial to work on these systems today.

🌿 Our Mission

To bring this vision to life, we believe that we need an environment where like-minded individuals commit to living together and co-creating a new culture. An ideal setting for this experiment is an intentional community designed in an eco-village style—a "future laboratory" for cultural innovation.

However, we do not wish to isolate ourselves from the world. Instead, we aim to collaborate with other projects globally and share our experiences through our Research and Education Center, which will host temporary guests, students and volunteers.

One of the biggest challenges in building this new culture is revitalizing the life force that has been stifled by shame and deeply ingrained limiting beliefs in many areas of society. The Research and Education Center will play a crucial role in the ongoing education of both community adults and children, as well as our guests, offering a space for learning, growth, and transformation.

🌿 Current Stage of the Project

The project is led by three co-founders—Sascha Stockem, Günther Schichtl, and Misha Nuckowski, with space for more to join.

🔹 Since 2022, Sascha has dedicated himself to deep research on community living, visiting intentional communities and ecovillages worldwide. His focus includes tantra, shamanism, energy work, and facilitating retreats and ceremonies. 🔹 Günther has lived in the Dominican Republic for 15 years, planting over 60,000 cacao trees and 50,000+ fruit trees, creating one of the largest permaculture farms in the Caribbean, recognized by leading experts worldwide. 🔹 In early 2024, Sascha and Günther met in El Valle, and it was clear—they shared the same vision: to live in community and create something meaningful.

🔹 Misha, a visionary connector and creative entrepreneur from Poland, brings a unique blend of artistry and deep community-building to Almarte. With a background in performance arts and ceremonial facilitation, he spent years traveling across Europe, sharing cacao medicine at festivals, retreats, and conscious events under the name Cacau Tribe. Over time, he cultivated a vast international network of facilitators, spaceholders, and conscious leaders — now serving as the heart of Almarte’s outreach and partnerships.

🔹In mid 2024, Misha and Sascha met at a festival, instantly resonating on a soul level. By early 2025, they chose to merge their projects.

Together, they founded The Almarte Foundation, combining regenerative agriculture, community living, and financial sustainability.

By leveraging the capitalist system to build post-capitalist infrastructure, we fund our vision through our cacao farm, sharing ceremonial cacao with the world to open hearts and foster connection.

Foundations Goals

The primary charitable goal of the Almarte Foundation is to promote life in ecovillages and intentional communities. According to the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN), an ecovillage is an intentional community grounded in the principles of ecological, economic, social, and cultural-spiritual sustainability. These communities adopt regenerative lifestyles, protect the environment, and foster sustainable living. They work through participatory processes, strengthen social cohesion, and aim to create a regenerative impact on both the land and society.

All ecovillages supported by the foundation must be members of the GEN network or a similar organization and adhere to their values. The foundation itself will also become a member of GEN to benefit from their expertise and align with their principles.

• Supporting ecovillages and intentional communities.

Implementation of Goals in Practice

🌿 Direct Support for Ecovillages and Farms

The foundation provides direct donations or purchases land to support ecovillages and organic permaculture farms. It assumes the role of stewardship and offers the land to the community either free of charge or at minimal cost, provided it is used in alignment with community principles. While stewardship is granted for its use, neither the land nor its usage rights can be sold.

🌿 Flexibility in Funding

The foundation has the flexibility to allocate funds as donations, loans, or capital investments. Projects can be funded anywhere in the world and may involve partnerships with local organizations to ensure proper management on-site.

🌿 Organizing Events & Seminars

All activities, such as retreats, seminars, and events, must align with the foundation’s mission and promote its goals.

We prioritize people over capital.

Legal Structure & Framework

For this reason, we have consciously chosen the following legal framework:

🌿 The Foundation - Legal POV

The foundation is an independent pool of assets and owns itself.

It is externally represented by the management team, which is elected annually by the Inner Circle for a one-year term.

The main task of the management team is to ensure compliance with guidelines and protocols. Additionally, it supports foundation members in organizing themselves according to the statutes and represents the foundation externally.

🌿 The Inner Circle

Functions:

• Active participation in the foundation/community.

• Approval of budgets, strategic changes, and major investments, decisions 

• Delegation of specific tasks to smaller groups is possible.

Membership:

• Requirement: Completion of the Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) course by Gaia Education within a specified timeframe.

• Joining: Requires unanimous agreement of all current members.

• Leaving: Voluntary resignation or removal for harmful behavior (requires 90% approval of the Inner Circle).

• As a Member of the inner circle, right to live on our Land and to build there. (The guidelines for the process of buying land, co-living, Entry and Exit the future ecovillages, will be worked out on a later stage by the inner circel)

Decision-Making Process:

• The Inner Circle uses a sociocratic decision-making process.

• Decisions are made by consent, meaning no major objections may be raised.

• In case of conflicts, external facilitators may be involved.
